Students choose a shape from the gameboard. Both students build that shape with clay and straws. Then they check to make sure that both shapes match the shape on the gameboard.

Each group of 2 students needs a bag of straws:

• at least 6 straws in each size:

  • \(\frac{1}{2}\) inch

  • 1 inch

  • \(1 \frac{1}{2}\) inches

  • \(2 \frac{3}{4}\) inches

One student secretly chooses a shape from the gameboard and describes it to their partner, who builds the shape with clay and straws. Together, they check to make sure that their shape matches the shape on the gameboard.
