Number Cards 0–10
Target Numbers Stage 1 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Before playing, students remove the cards that show 0 and 10 and set them aside.
Students add a one-digit number to a two-digit number, with composing a ten, in order to get as close to 95 as possible. Taking turns, they pick a number card, add it to their starting number for the round, and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 55, and then the sum becomes the first addend in the next round. The player who gets closest to 95 in six rounds, without going over, is the winner.
Number Cards 0–10
Target Numbers Stage 2 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Before playing, students remove the cards that show 0 and 10 and set them aside.
Students add tens or ones to get as close to 95 as possible. Taking turns, they pick a number card, decide to add that number of tens or ones to their starting number for the round, and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 25, and then the sum becomes the first addend in the next round. The player who gets closest to 95 in six rounds, without going over, is the winner.
Number cubes
Target Numbers Stage 3 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Students add two-digit numbers to get as close to 100 as possible. Taking turns, students roll three number cubes. They choose one number to represent the tens and another to represent the ones and set the third number aside. They add the tens and the ones to their starting number for the round and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 0, and then the sum becomes the first addend in the next round. The player who gets closest to 100 in four rounds, without going over, is the winner.
Number Cards 0–10
Target Numbers Stage 4 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Before playing, students remove the cards that show 0 and 10 and set them aside.
Students subtract tens or ones to get as close to 0 as possible. Taking turns, they pick a number card, decide to subtract that number of tens or ones from their starting number for the round, and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 100, and then the difference becomes the first number in the next round. The player who gets closest to 0 in six rounds, without going below 0, is the winner.
Number cubes
Target Numbers Stage 5 Recording Sheet, Spanish

The player who gets closest to 0 in four rounds, without going below 0, is the winner.
Number cubes
Target Numbers Stage 6 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Students add hundreds, tens, and ones to get as close to 1,000 as possible. Taking turns, they roll three number cubes and choose one number each to represent the hundreds, the tens, or the ones. They add their hundreds, tens, and ones to their starting number for the round and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 0, and then the sum becomes the first addend in the next round. The player who gets closest to 1,000 in four rounds, without going over, is the winner.
Number cubes
Target Numbers Stage 7 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Students subtract hundreds, tens, and ones to get as close to 0 as possible. Students take turns rolling 3 number cubes. They decide which of the numbers represent hundreds, tens, and ones. Students subtract their hundreds, tens, and ones from the starting number for the round and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 1,000 and then the difference becomes the first number in the next round. The player who gets closest to 0 in 4 rounds, without going below 0, is the winner.
Number Cards 0–10
Target Numbers Stage 8 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Before playing, students remove the cards that show 0 and 10 and set them aside.
Students add hundredths and tenths to get as close to 1 as possible. Taking turns, they pick a number card, decide to add that number of hundredths or tenths to their starting number for the round, and write an equation. They start their first equation with 0, and then the sum becomes the first addend in the next round. The player who gets closest to 1 in six rounds, without going over, is the winner.
Number Cards 0–10
Target Numbers Stage 9 Recording Sheet, Spanish
Before playing, students remove the cards that show 0 and 10 and set them aside.
Students subtract hundredths and tenths to get as close to 1 as possible. Taking turns, they pick a number card, decide to subtract that number of hundredths or tenths from their starting number for the round, and write an equation. Students start their first equation with 2, and then the difference becomes the first addend in the next round. The player who gets closest to 1 in six rounds, without going below 1, is the winner.
