This Privacy Policy explains how Illustrative Mathematics collects and uses information from its users, including how we treat personally identifiable information. This Privacy Policy covers the accessim.org website (“Website”).
Teachers are asked to register on the accessim.org website in order to access content specifically designed for teachers. Students do not need to register to access student content on the Website, and the Website does not collect any student information or work. When teachers register at the Website, we ask them to provide certain personal information, including but not limited to name, email address, organization, and identity information necessary to verify that the teacher is not a K-12 student. After verification, the identity information is not retained.
To enable login-based features, we use cookies to store session information for your convenience. A cookie is an identifier a browser stores on the user’s computer. You cannot log in to the Website if you block or delete cookies. We collect data from every visitor of the Website to monitor traffic and fix bugs. For example, we collect information such as web requests, the data sent in response to such requests, the Internet Protocol address, the browser type, the browser language, and a timestamp for the request.

We use your personal information to verify that you are a teacher and should have access to the components of the curriculum that are designed for teachers. We also use your information to contact you about products and services offered by Illustrative Mathematics and related to the curriculum.
Illustrative Mathematics may use data to enable us to determine the frequency of users to our Website and its individual pages, so that we can improve and customize our Website and Illustrative Mathematics products.
