In this lesson, students reinforce their understanding of a solution to an equation, that equivalent equations have the same solutions, and that performing certain moves can be used to write equivalent equations. A focus for this lesson is on solidifying the correct use of moves by analyzing common mistakes and checking solutions. As students suggest ways to improve incorrect solution paths, they must critique the arguments of the given solutions (MP3).
Let's rewrite some more equations while keeping the same solutions.
