Pre-Lesson: See Extra Support Materials for Algebra 1, Unit 5, Lesson 16.
In this lesson, students continue to develop their understanding of inverse functions. They work with linear functions that have multiple operations in a process that is comparable to earlier work of solving for a variable.
Students also interpret the inverse functions in terms of situations using the Information Gap structure. In doing so, they practice reasoning quantitatively and abstractly (MP2).
