Lesson Narrative
In this optional lesson, students use the concepts they learned from the unit to write linear equations and to solve systems of equations. Students draw a pattern composed of lines and write equations for the lines. Then they exchange equations with a partner to create systems of equations by choosing 2 equations at a time. They then solve those systems algebraically.
- Create a pattern using linear equations.
- Solve, without graphing, systems of equations created by peers.
