Students take turns giving clues about a mystery number to their partner, based on sentence stems or vocabulary words. After each clue, their partner guesses the mystery number. Students earn points based on how many clues they need to identify the mystery number. The player with the lower score after five rounds wins.
Mystery Number Stage 1 Directions
Number Cards 0–10
Students remove the cards that show 10 and set them aside.
One student picks two cards and makes a two-digit number, without showing their partner. They give clues about the mystery number, based on the sentence starters, and their partner guesses the number. Students go back and forth, giving clues and guessing the number, until the mystery number is identified. Then they switch roles. Students earn one point for each clue they require to help them identify the mystery number. The player with the lower score after five rounds wins.

They give clues about the mystery number based on the given vocabulary and their partner guesses the mystery number. Students continue going back and forth giving clues and guessing the number until the mystery number is identified and student switch roles. Students earn 1 point for each clue they get to help them identify the mystery number. The player with the lowest score after 5 rounds wins.
