Invite previously identified groups to describe the rules of their original and then their redesigned game.
“What changes do you notice?” (In the redesigned game, you have to multiply to find your total number of points. In the redesigned game, players are timed, and get more points if you finish faster.)
“What questions do you have for the designers of the game?” (How did you decide on how many points each ball was worth? How did you decide how far someone should stand from the cups?)
“What decisions did you make today as you designed and redesigned your game?” (We had to decide what would make the game fair. We had to decide on rules for the game that made it challenging, but not too hard. When we redesigned the game, we had to decide which things from the list would work best with our game.)
Consider having students respond to the previous question as a journal prompt.
