In this lesson, students apply their understanding of decimal place value to list a set of decimal numbers in increasing size. Some students may wish to use a number line to help locate the numbers. Students who choose to use the number lines have the interesting task of figuring out which numbers to put at the ends of their number line, and which will require thinking carefully about place value and the size of the numbers they are locating (MP6). 

Identify who has been sharing their ideas in class lately.  Make a note of students whose ideas have not been shared and look for an opportunity for them to share their thinking in tomorrow’s lesson.
