The purpose of this lesson is to give students further practice in solving equivalent ratio problems and introduce them to the Information Gap activity structure. The Warm-up is designed to familiarize the class with a process that is central to Info Gap—asking for missing information and providing it—before students engage in the Info Gap activity in small groups.
The lesson includes an optional activity to further practice solving problems involving equivalent ratios, if there is time after the Info Gap activity.
