In this lesson, students write linear equations to represent a graphic design. For some of the lines, both the slope and -intercept are visible. For others, only the slope can be seen. In the associated Algebra 1 lesson, students will be creating their own designs and determining solutions to the systems of equations created by a partner’s equations. Students can look for and make use of structure when finding the key features needed to write their equations (MP7).
